In 2015 Bettie came runner up in the Pinup Doll Victoria competition that was held as part of the Ballarat Beat Pinup competition. From there she went on to win the title of Pinup Doll Australia and has lead to her next adventure competing in the Miss Pinup International competition that takes place tomorrow in London! This little pocket rocket travelled all the way from Bendigo to London to compete and our thoughts and hearts are with her. I was very excited to be able to interview her about how she got into Pinup and performing before she headed overseas to wow international audiences. And to be able to share with you some photos from her recent shoot with Rebecca Gray - wow!
June's fabulous interviewee is Beccie Leathley; vintage enthusiast, sewer and blogger over at Sew Retro Rose. Beccie blogs engagingly about making beautiful clothing from vintage patterns and has a loyal group of followers who eagerly participate in sew-alongs. They also love to check out (well for me it's more like drool over, don't know about you!) her latest projects which she posts updates about on her Facebook page.
I first met Shayna as her pinup persona, Miss Flirtatious Belle, when we were competing in the Miss Old Skool pinup competition at the 2013 Halls gap Rod Run. She took home the title! It wasn't her first title and she has gone on to win a couple every year, including her most recent one; Miss Cheesecake Bombshell in the Miss Bombshell Pinup Pageant earlier this month - congratulations again Miss Flirtatious Belle!
On Sunday I caught up with a fabulous friend of mine, Miss Lady A Broad, and she kindly let me interview her. Internationally published pinup model, graphic designer, wife, mother, fellow crazy bunny lady and winner of Australian and International pinup titles – Lady A Broad is a force to be reckoned with! She is also one of the most humble and genuinely lovely people I have had the pleasure of meeting.
